Pat Mitchell - Frankie and Andy’s Place Global Ambassador
We are very proud to announce that Frankie and Andy's Place now have our very own Global Ambassador.
Children's book author, volunteer and huge supporter of Frankie and Andy's Place, Pat Mitchell, turns 60 this year and has decided to mark this huge landmark in her life by running 60, yes 60, 5K runs in 60 locations both in the US and abroad. And guess whose name will be on everyone's lips as she runs past them? You guessed it! Frankie and Andy's Place! We now have our very own 'Roving Runner' and we couldn't be happier about it. Pat will be proudly wearing a specially designed Frankie and Andy's Place running kit at every run, she will be draped in our flag at the finish line and will be spreading the word about the work we do to people all over the world. And for those of you that know her, you will already know how incredibly excited about our mission this lady is! |
Pat, who wrote the hugely successful story of 'Frannie and the Skunk Who Couldn't Skunk' will also be spreading our core message of unconditional love, family, commitment and acceptance in every town she visits along the way. She will be leaving a copy of her book in each town's library and in a local school for the children to enjoy. What an enduring and enjoyable gift for each community!
Last year Georgia, this year the world!
Run, Pat, Run!
